I've deleted 5 gig's on my last cleanup alone. How do i prevent it from doing that?Įdit: I removed all the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, but that does only account for 1.5 gigs. What am I to do? Only thing i can think of is Windows downloading all its updates in advance prior to installing, but that would hardly explain the speed at which the HD fills up. There are no more proggies or spare files i can remove! I can literally refresh explorer and see the free space waning. I've succesfully recorded audio with only 1 mb free space on my C />, but when it hits the absolute zero basically everything stops. Three times now I've cleared it to have between 2 and 4 gig free space, but on startup again is says there is no space left. Needless to say, i've cleaned out the trashbin, and have ran disc-cleanup mulitple times each times this has happened. I've deleted most every single program and loose file I can from the 90gb disc, safe some indispensable music software i'd rather not re-install, but whenever i restart my PC, the HD just fills up the empty space I've just created and I am stuck with the same problem. The probem I encounter is that the 90 HD is full, and remains full, no matter what I do with it. I've stopped installing all automatic updates. 
I ve set the virtual memory to use that disc exclusively as well. I don't use the 90gb hd for anything except running windows and a couple of music progs.
I have another 400 gb that i use to record music onto. Well, more specifically, when I built the PC i run it on, i thought it a good idea to keep the 90 gb hd i already had and install windows on that.
I am running windows 7 on a rather old PC.
